Of our two cats, Brambley LOVES her nip, but Monty couldn’t care less. When offered catnip, Brambley nearly turns herself inside out, and Monty just yawns and turns over.

I’ve heard of a blues guitar. But a blues bassoon???

There are few things in this world more comforting than lying in bed, warm and dry, listening to the rain beating down outside.

We had a cat like Ludwig once. He had a long and distinguished career as a speed bump.

Speaking of cats being returned after travelling, about 20 some odd years ago, my friend Louise had a big orange tabby Norwegian Forest Cat she called Juice. Louise and her hubby were going to fly from Vancouver to London, Ont to spend Christmas with her hub’s family, and they were taking Juice with them. Well, Juice didn’t arrive in London, and panic ensued. The airline set out to track him down. Of course, the first place they checked was London UK, but no Juice. Louise said she finally got a call telling her Juice had been located at Narita airport in Japan, of all places. She was assured Juice would be taken good care of and sent home, and eventually, he did arrive back in Vancouver quite some time later. He arrived sleek and sassy as ever, and about a pound heavier than when he left, indicating he had been taken very good care of, indeed, and well fed. He had apparently flown from Tokyo to Jakarta, from Jakarta to Mumbai, from Mumbai to Paris, from Paris to Toronto, and finally back to Vancouver. Louise said the airline should have given him a pass to the VIP lounge to use later…

Boomer here, also. For the last couple of decades, I’ve read all my news online, and I’m happy without the fuss and bother of having to bundle and recycle a bunch of print newspaper.

I’ve seen some of those miscarriages of fashioooon. Does the designer honestly expect a real person to wear them, I wonder. Surely, they’re just kidding.

Agnes, on the other hand, is always perfectly sincere.

He was left with a whole sackful of good ears…
