   I used to do serious climbing when I was in college-too many decades back to be happy about BUT even then we used choks, not steel spikes that would ruin the climb for others

   tha’s the italian style- introduced in 1924 you hold the sabre low like a foil and work mainly with the point but can still slash, it was replaced in ’56 by the hungarian style that is the box 4-5-6 defensive box which i find left my left shoulder too open.

   I was watching one of those police videos on you tube yesterday and the woman being arrested was screaming that she was non-verbal and so couldn’t be arrested or questioned.

   I had it go the other way, was on my college team and when wearing a sweat shirt in London someone asked where ‘Trinity Fencing’ was out of because they needed a fence built and I looked like an ice young man.
