Comics Give Their Regards To Broadway For The 71st Tony Awards
by The GoComics TeamTonight is the 71st Annual Tony Awards, which honor Broadway's best of 2016-2017 across nearly 30 categories. Hosting the show will be Kevin Spacey, who is no stranger to Broadway, although we know him best from the definitive K-PAX. We're honestly only watching to see if Spacey uses his time on camera to announce a K-PAX musical, but the more theatre-minded among you may be curious about some of this year's most-nominated works, including Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812, Hello, Dolly!, Come From Away, Dear Evan Hansen, and Groundhog Day The Musical. That's right, Groundhog Day is a hit! Probably because it features a dude in a mascot-like groundhog costume. Our K-PAX dreams don't seem so far-fetched now, do they?
Whether you'll be sitting in New York City's Radio City Music Hall or simply tuning into CBS, get your Broadway-minded comics here first.
